The Mountain View Imports Story
Mountain View Imports began its journey in the spring of 1978, founded by our current owner Jonathan McGillivray’s father, Hugh McGillivray, who founded the shop with a passion for cars and a commitment to excellence. Over the years, the shop has grown and evolved, moving to its current location in 1980 to better serve our customers. In 2015, Jonathan took over the business, bringing new energy while maintaining honesty, transparency, and a dedication to quality.

1. Schedule Your Appointment
You can easily schedule your service appointment via email, text, or phone call. Once your appointment is set, we’ll send you a text reminder to ensure you don’t forget.
2. Drop Off Your Vehicle
On the day of your appointment, you’ll be greeted by Alyssa at our front desk. She will gather any additional information needed about your vehicle and answer any questions you might have.
3. Inspection and Diagnosis
Your vehicle is then dispatched to one of our expert technicians. They perform a Digital Vehicle Inspection (DVI) to thoroughly check for any issues. After the inspection, the technician will diagnose any problems and create a detailed report.
4. Receive Your Vehicle Report
We will send the inspection results and repair recommendations to you via email or text. This report will include photos and detailed descriptions, so you have a complete understanding of your vehicle’s condition.
5. Approve the Repairs
Review the report at your convenience and approve the recommended services online or over the phone. We’re always available to discuss any concerns or answer questions about the repairs.
6. Parts Ordering
Once the repairs are approved, we order any necessary parts. Please note that most parts are ordered from out of town, which can take several days for delivery. During this time, it’s common for customers to pick up their vehicles after the initial diagnosis and return them once the parts have arrived.
7. Service Completion
After the parts arrive, we complete the approved repairs promptly. Before returning your vehicle, we provide a complimentary car wash to ensure it looks as good as it runs.
8. Vehicle Pickup
We will notify you as soon as your vehicle is ready. You can pick it up at your convenience, confident that it has received the highest level of care.
